What we collect

DealKoi may collect account details, offer saves, claims, browsing actions, merchant submissions, support messages, and device or analytics data needed to operate the app.

How we use information

We use information to provide the app, manage accounts, show relevant offers, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and improve product quality.

Signing in, and signing in with Google

You do not need an account to browse or search offers on DealKoi. An account is only required to save offers, claim coupons and manage your claims. You can sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with Google Sign-In.

When you choose Google Sign-In, DealKoi asks Google only for your basic profile information — your name, your email address, your profile picture and your Google account identifier (the openid, email and profile scopes). We use that data for one purpose: to create your DealKoi account, confirm the email address belongs to you, and sign you in again on later visits. We never request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, Photos or any other Google service, and we do not store your Google password or your Google access and refresh tokens.

Your Google profile data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with merchants or other third parties for their own purposes. You can disconnect DealKoi from your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can ask us to delete the DealKoi account itself by writing to [email protected].

Limited use of Google user data

DealKoi's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the sign-in feature described above, we do not transfer it except as needed to operate that feature, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, we do not use it for serving advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, or where required by law.

Mobile app notifications

If you allow notifications in the DealKoi mobile app, we store a push token for your device together with your account, your app language and the time it was last used. We use it only to send alerts you would expect: a coupon you claimed is about to expire, a coupon of yours was used, or a store you follow has a new offer. Alerts are delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service.

The push token is removed from your account when you sign out, and is deleted when Firebase reports that it no longer works. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings; the alerts still appear in the app.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers, payment or messaging partners, or authorities when required by law. Data is kept only as long as needed for the service or legal obligations.

Your choices

Users can request access, correction, or deletion of their information by contacting [email protected]. We will review requests and respond based on the account type and applicable legal requirements.
